i know i say this all the time but i think a lot of the mischaracterization of rose in relation to dave (which happens in sooo many dave slash fics) is in part related to how little thought ppl are willing to put into rose’s character and misinterpret her as cold and cruel because of the couple of times she accidentally pushed dave a little too hard in the comic (when she was thirteen! and they were in life or death situations!) and fail to give her the leeway that they’d give male characters for fucking up and like with that shallow + lazy reading of her character meant to either ignore his relationship w rose altogether or even worse purposefully make her hurting dave with her ~prying~ a plot point everyone just overlooks the fact that they have repeatedly shown an innate ability to read each other and communicate in the way they find most easy and natural which is: letting themselves express their vulnerable feelings behind the comfort of layers of bullshit and being able to be understood anyway.  like at their core they love each other unconditionally and like ship them w/ whoever you want but lets not forget that did everything in their power and went the extra mile to give up their lives so the other one wouldn’t have to die alone so like i’m not saying dave and rose don’t work paired up with other people but….. they’re the best and ultimate choice for each other *tumblr voice* just my onion tho
