actually ANOTHER thing thats so fucking sweet about daverose is the fact that dave has no qualms with lying to his friends, but when rose tells him that she’ll wake him up during the green sun convo on the condition that he PROMISE that he won’t try to stop her, he goes ….nah and just?? keeps her company?? like he’s against rose’s stupid suicide mission with every fibre of his being but he gives up the one chance he has to save her because he doesn’t want to break a promise to her
THEN once she admits that she doesnt want to go to her death alone he actively chooses to stay asleep and keep her company even though he could be meeting up with the others and doing actual important shit like??? holy fuck
