listen they trust each other to a ridiculous degree and their relationship is based on mutual respect + recognition + an innate and unspoken understanding that they are on the same metaphysical wavelength its just…. too much
like i literally cannot conceive how some people write them as being cruel to each other like they are more starkly aware of each other’s limits and buttons and weaknesses and sore points than anyone else is or could even begin to understand why those would be limits and sore spots in the first place and that is exactly why they are not cruel to each other why even when they’re fighting they are nothing but utmostly tender and careful with each other
