He finds her in the lake sometimes, trading riddles with the fish.
(The gun is not for her, but for the things she carries back)
help i made terrible sketchy fanart for marthur’s The Single Glimpse, which kills me every time. if i ever find my tablet pen again, i’ll probably try and make a proper picture out of this (and find a shotgun reference. references are good)
i could barely complete this thought bc it was too #real but dave and rose complete each other bye im digging my grave
im mostly thinking abt how dave and rose work togethrer in a way that like…. no other pair of characters do since they end up w all this burdenous knowledge of game mechanics and foresight that leaves them no choice but to weigh their lives against the success of everyone else and its such a traumatizing and unique situation theres no one else who they could find solace in after having lived through it when they were utterly prepared to die ….. i havent read homestuck on years idk what im going on about. i love them
i feel like im making everything up 100% of the time anyway the quiet acceptance they find in each other without having to speak bc theyve both lived and shared the fear of being powerless at the whims of forces greater than themselves IM A BROKEN RECORD SORRY BUT THIS IS WHAT FUCKIN GETS ME ABT THEM AAAAAAAAA
dave: merry christmas i went to build a bear workshop and made you a minion
rose: What a surprise, I went to Build-A-Bear workshop and crafted a minion for you as well
dave: what a coincidence that we would both gift each other minions in a completely ironic and not in any way secretly pleasurable manor. of course we knew the other would in no way enjoy these hellish yellow beans
me: glad im finally rid of homestuck forever
someone: dersecest
me: im digging my own grave with my bare hands as i think about how in both timelines shown dave and rose were fated to die together, and possibly in others, and also they have such intrinsic knowledge of the other it is natural they would confide and find comfort among themselves
